This year I've recorded 5 songs for my new EP, 'Waken Your Fire', on the theme of self-empowerment.
I'll be releasing some of them as singles over the next few months, and finally as a whole EP.
Below you can find out about each of the songs on the EP plus 2 songs that are already out.
In acknowledgment of the medieaval witch hunts, and to honour the wise women whose earth medicine and folk practices were persecuted, silenced and burned, this song helps us transmute our grief, reclaim our power, rekindle kinship amongst sisters, and remember our indigenous roots in these lands.
It’s a song for healing and the remembrance of all the medicine we carry within our collective soul. Have listen:

Don't Doubt Yourself
I heard once that self-doubt is one of the biggest things that keeps us from stepping into our full potential. Pondering that thought, I wrote this song.
It has a very catchy chorus which I always get audiences singing along to. And many people have told me this song and its message have really made an impact on them.
I've recorded it as part of my EP, Waken Your Fire, and it will be released as a single sometime in 2025.

Tune In To Your Power
I wrote this song whilst walking the Pyrenees mountains.
It's about the movement of people I have been part of since my twenties, the wave of eco-conscious, heart-centred, nature-loving, empowered activists and community builders that I feel blessed to have found in this lifetime.
And I know it is growing. I do what I can to help it thrive and I speak of it in many of my songs.
It will be released as a single sometime in 2024/ 2025.
I channelled this song whilst walking on the granite cliffs of South Devon on my birthday in June a few years ago.
It was a sunny, windy day and I just felt in a trance, blissed out, in tune with the inner patterns of the universe, as I watched the waves crash and roll in the sunlight while ambling along the coastline.
It's quite a cosmic song!
Coming Soon: Goddess Of Land and Sea
I wrote this song while dancing at night on a massive rock on Marazion beach in Cornwall, gazing out over the moonlit sea, with St. Michael's Mount silhouetted craggily.
The song came out of the excitement and inspiration that fired me up as I began to live a life of freedom and empowerment on the land with a tribe of activists protecting the earth.
This song is the source of the EP title 'Waken Your Fire'.
Ffynone
I wrote this song in 1996 after living in a very special valley in West Wales. It was known as the valley of Ffynone, in the forest of Glyn Cych. There is an incredible waterfall there which divers have never found the bottom of.
It is believed to be the location of one of the tales of the Mabinogion, in which Prince Pwyll of Dyfed goes hunting and meets King Arawn, Lord of the underworld.
This valley used to be natural oak woodland but it was mostly cut down in the early 1900's and replaced with conifer plantations. While I was there there was yet more tragic felling of some beautiful mature ash trees.
I lived in those woods for a whole winter. Ancient legends, current events and my imagination, wove together yielding this song.
This circular song brings to life the Celtic or Pagan Wheel of the Year with its 8 seasonal festivals. The Solstices, Equinoxes, and Cross Quarter holidays: Imbolc, Beltane, Lammas and Samhain.
There is a verse for each festival which is evoked through a particular Goddess and images and sensations of the meaning of that festival.
The full lyrics of this song are presented on a poster that I designed which you can buy. It is an eternal calendar and shows how the 8 celtic festivals fit into the cycle of the seasons, nature and the phases of the Goddess.
In addition to the ones described above, I've also written about 40 other songs over the years. I'll be recording and releasing them at some point in the future!
The next main project I have in mind is a 9-song album called The Songs Of The Wheel Of The Year. I have written one song for each of the Pagan /Celtic Festivals - Beltane, Summer Solstice, Lugnasadh, Autumn Equinox, Samhain, Winter Solstice, Imbolc and Spring Equinox. Plus one song that encompasses all of them. (see above).
